About

About the Owner:

Hi, I’m Kate Huffman, Pink Hat Farmer! I’m a 6th generation farmer in rural Galva, Illinois and farm my family farm. I think you can guess the color hat I can typically be found in! Pink Hat Farmer started as a way for me to show my life as a female farmer. Today, it is so much more. It is a way to celebrate agriculture AND females in agriculture. I live and breathe agriculture. I’ve always been a windy person, but talk agriculture to me and we can sit for weeks!

I graduated from Galva High School in 2009 and went onto University of Illinois receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Finance graduating in 2013. I have been in the banking world since graduating. My career has taken me up to the Chicago suburbs, Bloomington-Normal, Princeton and finally back to my home area.

I currently work fulltime as a Financial Officer at Compeer Financial in Geneseo helping farmers achieve their financial goals and plan for the future of their farms.
